A fantastic cruiser-racer designed by Bruce Farr for the most popular cabin cruiser sector, the 35 foot boats.
The 36.7 was created to satisfy the need for sailors wanting a fast cruiser and those who want a proper regatta boat.
You can see this in the regatta-ready deck equipment, in the slim and flexible mast, from the extra low centreboard, to the extremely efficient elliptical shaped wheel, the vast cockpit and the clearly racing-style instrumentation.
But the first 36.7 is a cruiser.
Inside this ‘thoroughbred’ you’ll find all the comforts you’d expect from a cabin cruiser.
You can see this from the three double cabins, the two sofas in the dinette, the hot water boiler, the reading lights in each berth, the classic galley, the roomy fridge in the cockpit, a generously sized table inside and a proper chart table where you can really spread out your charts, and a bathroom including shower.
The immediate feeling you get when coming on board is one of space, thanks to the enormous cockpit and the amount of rigging available. The single carriage of the mainsail traveller is longer than two meters, comprising two sheets, one for fine tuning and one for rapid adjustments. The adjustable mast of the backstay allows fine adjustments for varying speeds.
The 30hp Volvo Penta Engine with retractable propellers and a 90 litre fuel tank can easily handle days without wind.
A speedy cruiser which can make a good impression in a regatta.
